Muay Thai is a sport and martial art from Thailand that uses punches, kicks, knees, and elbows in combat. It’s known as the ‘Art of Eight Limbs‘. Muay Thai has been around for a long time and has cultural and religious traditions woven into the sport. In Thailand, everyone, including boys, girls, kings, and queens, would have some form of training in Muay Thai.

Muay Thai is a martial art that originated in Thailand in the 16th century and was originally taught to the military. The techniques taught in Muay Thai were used in actual warfare with weapons such as pikes, spears, or swords. However, over time, Muay Thai evolved into a sport, and fighters started using horse leather or rope to protect their knuckles during fights. In the 20th century, boxing gloves became normal in Muay Thai.

Bangladesh Muaythai community starts their journey since 2015 with the objective to promote the noble martial art of Muaythai. The foundations of Muaythai is built on five important pillars; Tradition, Respect, Honor, Excellence & Fair play. The different disciplines in Muaythai are practiced for various reasons. It can be for fitness, self-defense, competition or as a cultural art form. Muaythai is in essence a way of life. We stand by IFMA (International Federation of Muaythai Association) or by IOC (International Olympic Committee) and uphold its value.
